Dave Lovely is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois. He has a Bachelor's degree in English, a Master's in Library and Information Sciences, and a Master's in Social Work. Dave transitioned to mental health after two decades in corporate life, so he understands that life can be complicated and take unexpected turns. Sometimes we need compassionate, thoughtful advice from someone else who's been there, too! Dave has an enormous range of prior life experience that he brings to his work as a therapist, on issues ranging from workplace discontent to LGBTQIA+ life to neurodivergence to blended families.

My treatment philosophy helps clients gain a new perspective on the concerns that may be holding them back, which enhances their ability to focus on the things that they value most in life. I have spent many years in various roles at Northwestern Medicine Behavioral Health Services, most recently as Psychiatric Counseling Coordinator.

If you are experiencing difficulties with your significant other, I can help as I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and extensively trained in relationship models. For years, I have been successfully working with couples to help them improve their communication strategies, heal from the trauma of infidelity and repair other significant relationship injuries. I began working with children and their families back in 1992 but today, I use the Gottman Method Couples Therapy because it is rooted in decades of research and practice. Years of positive outcomes is what sets this method apart from other non-researched therapies.

Zahra Somani is a Psychologist in Illinois . She has a BA in Secondary Education from DePaul University, an M. Ed in Educational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a Psy. D in School Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As a school psychologist obtaining a clinical license, Zahra understands how school systems work and what resources are offered at schools. She can explain test results to parents in a manner that is easy to understand and connect it to how may show in the classroom. In her spare time, Zahra loves to bake and try to challenge herself with new recipes.

I believe therapy is beneficial for everyone to express their concerns, identify their needs, and process their emotions. With experience working in community mental health, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care I have guided individuals and families to identify and meet treatment goals. I specialize in working with adolescent girls and young women navigating issues related to anxiety, self-esteem, boundary setting, family conflict, and life transitions. I work with each client individually to develop a plan for treatment and make progress towards leading a fulfilling life.

Michael Jones is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Illinois who has been practicing since 2014. He graduated with his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University. Michael approaches treatment and clinical assessment with curiosity, humility, and humor which he has found to be fundamental aspects of both healing and the evolution of self. Michael believes that each of us has a distinct narrative and journey, so his approach is informed by deference for the uniqueness of the human experience. He hopes to help his patients develop clear insight into who they are and what they have experienced.

At the Center for Emotional Wellness, we are committed to helping our clients live their best life. Our team of clinicians are devoted to providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other best practices in treating diverse disorders affecting children, adolescents, and adults.
