My passion and speciality are to help you recapture your dream for a great marriage. When most couples get married, they aspire to an amazing future together. The reality far too often is they lie awake mourning a dying dream-fearing what the future may hold. As a marriage counselor who is Gottman Level 3 trained, I harness my expertise to fight for your marriage. To best serve my clients, I limit my practice to only 15 couples a week-all of whom are serious about working on their relationship. If you are ready to make a change, you are ready to seek my specialized help.

My ideal client comes from many walks of life. They are children, teenagers, and adults and present with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, relationship and family problems, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), school problems, and oppositional-defiant disorder. They all share a common need to be heard, empowered, and guided on the path of recovery. I provide evidence-based treatments tailored to the needs of my clients. I focus on strengths and capabilities rather than "illness."

My name is Cynthia Drake, and I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor. I focus on tending to the difficult-to-understand parts of ourselves. I believe change comes from self-awareness and self-compassion. My approach is integrative with a psychodynamic foundation, but I also pull from humanistic, emotion-focused, and cognitive behavioral orientations depending on what would be most beneficial. I primarily work with adults experiencing anxiety and or depression related to transitional periods or events.

Relationships can be difficult. Whether it is familial, romantic or platonic, each of us is the sum of all the experiences, communities, and cultures we have been involved in and around our entire lives. We often struggle to understand how to effectively communicate, as well as making and keeping connections.
