The LodeStone Center for Behavioral Health is a private outpatient group practice offering services via telehealth along with in-person offices in Woodstock and Hinsdale Illinois. Empathy, acceptance, and genuineness are three qualities that I believe are the foundation for building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. My areas of specialty are in the treatment of Couples, Women's Health Issues (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum, pregnancy loss and infertility), Eating Disorders, Depression, Relationships, Pre-Marital counseling, and Emotional Regulation. In working with complex trauma, the emotional processing, exploration of self-related difficulties (e.g., fear and shame), and acceptance or resolution of past interpersonal issues are an important part of therapy. With complex trauma, I utilize an emotion-focused therapy approach, bringing emotion to the clinical forefront of therapy.

Understanding the stresses and challenges work, family, school, and other responsibilities can bring to our lives, I am committed to walking with clients to process and develop a plan toward relieving anxiety, thinking clearly about the present, and moving boldly toward flourishing.

I have been providing psychological services to Mchenry county for the last 17 years. My experience is diverse and my approach to therapy is evidenced-based. I comprehend mental health issues from not only a psychological, but also from a social and neurological perspective. With this being stated I have developed a unique and comprehensive understanding of my clients. I have worked with several challenging clients and pride myself in my ability to modify treatment interventions for each client's unique needs.
