As a therapist, I strive to meet my clients where they're at and increase their self-awareness, which in turn helps them understand their thoughts and feelings in relation to the problems at hand. I realize that my clients are the experts in their own life experiences, therefore, utilize an individualistic approach in working alongside them in efforts to restore emotional balance.

Through our direct services, consultation, executive coaching, and conscious learning opportunities, we help organizations, leaders, and practitioners sustain resilience and effectiveness during the deep, necessary, and sometimes uncomfortable work of creating trauma-informed and equity-focused environments. We understand the unique capacities required to address the multigenerational trauma from systemic exclusion and discrimination facing multigenerational Black Americans/descendants of U.S. slaves.

Throughout my clinical experience, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, anger management, trauma, stress management, and parenting. My preferred treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Trauma Focused-CBT.

Life can be difficult and hard to navigate, but I believe that we all have the strength and resilience to grow, change, and live a more fulfilling life. As a therapist, I believe that the self- work you do will echo throughout every part of your life. I meet people where they are and walk alongside them to where they want to be. It is important for me to create a space for you to feel comfortable, and open. My goals are to help you reach your goals in a supportive, empathic and compassionate space where you feel safe.

So much of what happens in life feels outside our control. Hard experiences, in childhood or more recently, can start to dominate our outlook on the future. Nothing can erase bad experiences, but my hope for all of my clients is that they are able to integrate all of their experiences, and better know themselves. By doing this, we can start to understand the foundations of our emotional upheavals and unhelpful reactions. With this information in hand, I believe, we are all best equipped to face our own unique challenges.

I believe providing a safe, non-judgement space with kind, clear communication is foundational to a therapeutic relationship. Since 2009, I have provided individual and group care in a variety of settings to Veterans and people with disabilities (with an emphasis on acquired disabilities). I work with adults and am sex positive, kink and poly friendly.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with fifteen years of clinical experience. I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and my Master's degree in Social Work, with an emphasis in Family Systems Theory, at Saint Louis University. I understand that clients are the experts of their own lives and join with clients to determine treatment goals. I believe in the importance of processing and resolving core issues, as these unresolved struggles can often leave us feeling 'stuck.' I also stress the importance of learning and establishing appropriate boundaries. My passion involves working with individuals, couples, and families who may feel 'stuck' or overwhelmed due to unresolved trauma and inner struggles.
