I have extensive experience helping those with depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral issues. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with individuals, groups, couples, and families. I enjoy working with adolescents and couples. I have a lot of expertise in helping my clients with stress management, self-esteem issues, communication skills, peer conflict, women's issues and men's issues. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship and I approach each client individually to determine their course of treatment. I also have a degree in Dietetics and understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Trauma is something that happens to all of us, we often times don’t even realize it has occurred or how it is present in our lives. I am here to work with you and aid you in figuring out what trauma may mean for you and how you can become empowered. I have been in the field of Social Work since 1989, starting my career in teaching in 1984 and quickly moved to Social Work. I have spent my career in the public sector until I opened my practice in 2007. I center my career around helping people get through challanges that life puts in our path. For 20 years I specialized in divorce issues, both in families with high amounts of conflict and custody disagreements and provide support during this difficult transition. In addition, I have a strong background in Attachment, and I specialize in Attachment issues in children and adults and address the various challenges clients face in their current relationships. I use EMDR when appropriate and myriad Neuropsychological interventions.

Helene Jacques is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who has been in practice since 2000. She sees adolescents and adults for individual and family therapy. Helene has extensive experience working with clients dealing with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adoption concerns, relationship problems, stress management, medical and health concerns, and post-abortion issues. Helene was trained in an eclectic model of therapy and relies on this knowledge base to select effective treatment approaches for each client or family.

As a social worker in private practice for 25 years, I provide family and individual therapy that allows all clients to feel safe and supported in a therapeutic environment. I work with schools and employers to support and strengthen the individual as well as the family. My diverse professional skills allow me to provide resources in multiple areas of mental health. My areas of concentration are children and adolescents, mood disorders in all ages, developmental delays including Autism Spectrum Disorder, eating disorders, clinical assessment and evaluation. I provide clinical support for ages 3 and up.
