There are so many individuals and families that I enjoy working with. What I am most passionate about is working with individuals struggling to find peace with his/her/their body, food, and self-worth. This topic has been the focus of my training and professional life for nearly a decade. Working in higher levels of care has provided extensive training with emphasis on disordered eating and mood and anxiety diagnoses, as well as substance abuse. This training has helped to address patterns that often appear in family milieus and where shame often perpetuates the cycle of maladaptive behaviors.

I am a LCSW and have a passion for supporting individuals and families through significant life adjustments that affect our social-emotional well-being: parenting, supporting children and adolescents with anxiety and depression, navigating family or spousal relationship issues, and handling career stressors are at the forefront of my experience. I provide individual psychotherapy services to adults and young adults who are struggling with various issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, fertility, and interpersonal relationships. My primarily speciality is bariatric topics, weight management, body image, overeating, and binge eating. I also offer evaluation and therapy services to individuals who are going through or considering bariatric surgery. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and emotion-focused, while also tailoring our work together to fit your individual needs and goals.

I graduated from University of IL – Champaign/Urbana in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and earned my secondary degree, Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University. With over 20 years of healthcare experience, in both corporate and private settings, I have been in clinical practice for 10+ years.
