I have worked with clients aged 12 and up with a range of concerns, including depression, dipolar, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, divorce, relationship conflicts, and with LGBTQ+ and gender identity issues.
Change can be a difficult yet exciting process. I work hard to provide a safe space where clients can explore their past and grow their potential. I use an integrated therapy approach that mixes elements of many different therapy styles to adapt treatment to your unique needs. I use an authentic and direct, yet gentle, approach to foster a relationship with you and value meeting you where you are with empathy, warmth, and acceptance. The relationships between the therapist and client is the most important foundation in successful therapy. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is tailored to the client’s likes and needs.

Even if your partner is unwilling to attend counseling, working on your own "stuff" can really benefit you and your relationship(s).
As a therapist with 20+ years of experience. I will help you move through the issues that keep you stuck in your problem(s). This therapy will go much further than skill-building and techniques, it will change the way you think and feel about your self, your relationships--it may even change the way your brain works. It will reach and transform the very core of your issues. "Differentiation" is the corner stone concept of my approach and focuses on developing emotional maturity. Being a differentiated person involves the pursuit of individuality while appreciating the desire for quality, relational connections.

Life can be challenging and sometimes painful. Most clients come to me due to distress or general life dissatisfaction. My goal is to foster a safe place for individuals to share their feelings and their pain. I want clients to feel heard and understood. I feel it is a privilege to help people find ways to cope and empower them through challenging crisis or relationship struggles. My approach is collaborative and I try to build upon a person's strengths. For some clients, I provide tools and suggestions and for others I help them to identify their role in the conflict.

I provide individual and group counseling for adults, young adults, and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, self-esteem, life transition, and career issues.
The journey of life is not always easy. Personal struggles, relationship challenges, unexpected circumstances, and other obstacles can get in the way of who and where we hope to be. When faced with challenges, the possibility of change can be hard to see, but where there is challenge there is potential: potential for hope, growth, and a more fulfilling life. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, my aim is to meet individuals wherever they are and help guide them in the process towards satisfying change.

With couples I blend the Gottman's research and what I learned at The Couples Institute to focus on the growth and development of each partner and of the relationship.
Congratulations! You are choosing a hopeful step towards better wellbeing. Are you having difficulty with feelings, behaviors, relationships or a situation? We can sort that out, and develop improved ways to respond to difficulties, ways that work for you and help you move forward with less distress, more confidence and more effectiveness. Trust based on safety will be the foundation of our relationship and work together. Adjustments and change can be challenging, and any of us must first be ready and willing to be able to grow in response to life’s difficulties. Therapy can be described as a get ready, get set, grow process.

If you have found yourself here, Thank you for your courage. In our quiet moments, we wish for a safe place to explore our darkness to discover our light within. A reduction in anxiety brings peace. Being soulful in humanness is our challenge. Often we find ourselves in confusion with negative voices in our head that pulls at our hearts. No matter what our circumstances, suppression of our true nature will result in anxiety, depression or relationship problems. Circumstances may change or even improve, yet self love eludes us. Acceptance and management of ALL feelings is the way to peace of mind.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
