I am experienced working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with a wide range of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief and loss, parenting challenges, family conflict, anger and stress management, trauma and adjustment issues. Hi there! Good for you for looking for a therapist :) I encourage you to do consultations or sessions with multiple therapists. You'll quickly see that we're vastly different. Remember grade school teachers? They could make or break a class, and maybe there were only a few you really connected with. Also true for therapy! So book at least a few consults and sessions; the search itself can be therapeutic. Two major things to look for are emotional safety ("Can share things without feeling judged?") and resonance ("Do they get me?"). Most importantly, practice trusting your intuition.
