I Have worked in the areas of substance abuse and mental health for the past 29 years. I work with clients between the ages of 16 and 60. I have a strong interests in addictions, impulse control and personality disorders. I have sucessfully guided both individuals and couples through very difficult times in their lives and have seen many of them reach their highest potential in life. With 15+ years' experience as a school social worker and a clinical social worker, I am familiar with IEP and RTI procedures, best practices and certified staff evaluation procedures. I operate from a Christian foundation and am direct, honest and caring. I work with adolescents and adults to address issues relating to emotional regulation, behaviors, and decision making, and parenting, as well as supportive therapy during stressful life changes allowing the client to develop and implement strategies. I earned a Doctorate in 2014 with a dissertation entitled "A Systems Approach to Workplace Bullying in the K-12 Public Educational Setting".

Due to only providing telehealth, an assessment for appropriateness will need to be completed during the first phone call.

I enjoy helping those on a journey toward better self-awareness around their emotional life, satisfaction in relationships, and getting through what seems stuck. Counseling is a place to feel safe to explore difficult relationships or past or current trauma. I want my clients to feel advocated for, and to find a deeper understanding of self and gain insight into how our past affects present relationships and struggles. Finding your true-self is so important. Skill building and assertiveness training are also a part of the therapy I do. My experience for the last 22 years has been in individual therapy with kids, teens, and adults.

After 10 years in marketing, I pursued my calling to work with individuals, couples and families as they re-imagine their lives and relationships. Together, we address concerns like anxiety, chronic illness, grief, marital issues and family conflict. I also work with postpartum depression including traumatic births and parents of children with special needs. I know that taking a step into the unknown can be scary and overwhelming, but I believe that beginning this journey will change your life.
