I believe that therapy works best as a process of uncovering our truest selves. Oftentimes life hands us burdens of stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, and pain that weigh us down and make it difficult to encounter the world in ways that we would like. I believe each individual has a unique and important story to tell, and I find joy in walking alongside clients as they begin to peel away the layers of life’s burdens to uncover the light of their authentic selves. I strive to offer a safe space for clients to author a personal narrative that feels genuine, and I operate from a gentle, trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective.

It is my goal to help you learn skills and tools to better manage your or child's symptoms.

I specialize in working with adolescents, but enjoy helping clients of all ages navigate the ups and downs of everyday life. I have experience helping clients manage symptoms and experiences surrounding self-esteem and awareness, school anxiety, family conflict and executive functioning.

We are here because we’ve been there. Suicide Prevention Services of America is a non-profit dedicated to helping people along the continuum of care of suicide. We have been helping individuals in our community for over 25 years. Our mission is to open minds, save lives, and restore hope through prevention, intervention, and prevention services through education, advocacy, and collaboration in the community. SPSA is made up of a passionate and compassionate team of mental health professionals, many of whom have had suicide impact their lives. We assist people at any stage of their mental health treatment through individual therapy.

People seek therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes, people need a healthy outlet for pent up emotions. Sometimes, people need help understanding their own psychological functioning or need help coping with intense emotions. I'm happy to help with everything in between. I believe that regardless of the reason for seeking therapy, there is always a place for it in my office. Therapy works best with people who are motivated to achieve a change, as do I.

My clinical experience includes work in residential, community mental health, law enforcement, and crisis intervention services. I have expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma related disorders, addictions, self-harm, behavioral concerns, suicidal ideations, psychosis spectrum disorders, and personality disorders. I have experience working with young children to older adults.

Parenthood is seldom what we expect it to be and can often be intertwined with immense feelings of grief, resentment, and overwhelm. Those feelings can often make us question ourselves, feel incapable and leave us unsure of where to turn to next. Dr. Snow specializes in administering psychological and neuropsychological testing with children, adolescents, and adults. She frequently assesses learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, mood disorders, defiance, and conducts pre-surgical evaluations. She is trained in the ADOS-2, a measure that is considered the “gold standard” assessment for diagnosing autism. Her psychological reports include easy to read language and unique recommendations tailored to each client.

Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in adults and adolescents with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, survivors of personality disordered abuse, and couples therapy. Katie graduated from DePaul University with her BA in psychology in 2008 and Loyola University of Chicago, School of Social work in 2012 with her MSW. Katie has experience with a wide variety of clients including: Military Veterans/families, inpatient and outpatient hospitalization, and clients with legal involvement. Katie assists her clients move toward healing and reaching personal goals to improve overall quality of life.

I have obtained my PsyD from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, an APA accredited program. I am currently working towards licensure. In my clinical work I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families alike. I am currently most interested in the treatment of disorders and issues related to identity, attachment, relational problems, depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, grief and loss, behavioral problems, parenting issues, and adoption.
