Sessions with me are customized to integrate a variety of healing modalities including somatic practices, mindfulness techniques to reduce stress, trauma-informed yoga therapy, and energy and sound healing. My approach is warm and ensures we are addressing the root causes of imbalances, rather than just treating the symptoms. I deeply believe in our natural ability to come back to homeostasis when given the proper tools and nourishment. I strive to provide compassionate support to guide you through life's challenges, assisting with overcoming emotional obstacles, and navigating through communication and personal conflicts.

My goal as a therapist is to teach coping skills to alleviate anxiety, depression, and negative thinking patterns, by discovering habits that are keeping them stuck in life. I am highly motivated, dedicated, and empathetic individual who strives to enhance the lives of others. I have acquired extensive knowledge and experience in working with diverse client populations from young children, elementary, middle school, adolescent, and adults from a wide variety of settings including individual, family, couples, and group counseling.

I believe that it takes courage for a person to reach out for support and that the first steps for counseling support can be difficult. When one makes this leap of faith, I believe they are passionate and should be encouraged to learn, grow, and heal. I earned an undergraduate degree for University of Illinois, Chicago with a major in Psychology and minor in Philosophy. Throughout my life, I have always valued helping others by providing a supportive environment and meeting people where they are. I earned my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University. I believe that education, prevention and intervention are important when assisting my clients to improve areas of their lives.

Coming to counseling is a difficult decision to make. It takes strength to admit we need help. I admire my clients for seeking help and hope to create an environment where they feel empowered for coming to counseling. I enjoy working with clients from all different walks of life. I like to create a collaborative atmosphere and respect that I will learn just as much from you as you will learn from me.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Northern Illinois University and a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. I have many years of counseling experience from working at community agencies and community colleges. I have worked with ages ranged from very young children to older adults. My work with youth included young children who have experienced trauma or abuse. I have worked with teens whom have experienced a myriad of issues including depression, suicidal ideation, abuse and self-harming behaviors.

My work is my passion. In a non-judgemental way, I allow each person to share their own personal story with me. In an initial telephone consultation, I take the time with each person to talk, to make certain I know what issues they need help with, and to make certain that person feels comfortable talking with me. In my work with clients, I respect them and their personal values and beliefs while helping them to achieve their own personal goals. I create a comfortable office atmosphere for clients in which to talk about their personal issues.
