As a therapist, it is important to me to create an environment where the child and family feel safe to share what is on their minds and in their hearts. In each session, I apply trauma-informed care for a deeper understanding of what the child or family have experienced. My goal is to work with youth ages 5 to 18-years-old to improve communication skills, expand their toolbox of safe coping skills, and build self-confidence. I support both the child and parent to find and use their strengths to work on their presenting issue(s). We are only humans, trying to do our best in life.

My ideal client is someone who is open to change and comfortable with being challenged. I will first and foremost utilize an anti-oppressive, non-judgmental and person-centered approach, understanding that affirmation of a client's identity is critical to helping that individual live a more authentic life.

I work with a variety of ages and stages, from children to young adults. My goal is to assist children and families in understanding how their mental health impacts their quality of life, and to provide them with the tools to make beneficial changes. Cultivating self confidence and resilience in individuals and their families is key to creating positive change in their lives. I offer parents proven parenting strategies for all ages, from newborns to young adults. I also guide parents in recognizing familial patterns that may have been overlooked. As a parent of four myself, I understand first hand how overwhelming it can be!

Erica Bell, provides a welcoming environment where clients feel safe to open up in a non-judgmental space. She empowers her clients to be an active part of the therapeutic process and works with them to achieve their goals and create a life balance.
