I improve my patient's lives by implementing evidenced-based treatment approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy in combination with a supportive, skill based approach to decrease symptoms and provide a brighter future for their lives. I also provide Exposure Response Prevention Therapy for OCD and am certified to treat Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors such as hair pulling, skin picking, and nail biting.

I am a Military veteran with 30 plus years of experience working with patients in psychiatric hospitals, state mental health facilities, Illinois Department of Corrections, and in private practice. I am currently licensed to practice in Illinois, Kansas and Georgia. I also provide Tele-health service to Military members overseas (OCONUS).

My passion is creating a judgment-free zone which allows clients to better understand themselves, set and achieve goals, and work toward living as authentically as possible. I strive to empower others in discovering solutions to their unique life situations by further developing personal strengths while also addressing maladaptive patterns, and navigating challenges effectively. I approach each session with an open mind; receptive to my client's needs and pace.

I have been in the field of Social Work since 1989, starting my career in teaching in 1984 and quickly moved to Social Work. I have spent my career in the public sector until I opened my practice in 2007. I center my career around helping people get through challanges that life puts in our path. I offer a comfortable and supportive environment where it is safe to explore various issues that life presents. I feel it is an honor to work with individuals trying to better their life and have chosen me to assist with their journey.
