Hi there! My name is Suzy Halpin and I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist with a master's degree in social work. I am based in Chicago and work with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults, 18 years and above. My practice is focused on helping individuals manage anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. I offer client-centered services, and therefore, I use a variety of evidence-based theories in my practice. Some approaches that have worked well in the past include cognitive behavioral, acceptance, and psycho-educational therapies.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate degree in Social Work with a wealth of experiencing in psychotherapy. I have worked with clients from a wide range of concerns including: post-traumatic stress, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, family conflict, grief and loss, and emotional abuse. Additionally, I have worked in the field of social work and mental health for over 20 years assisting individuals and families.

Sandi Kellerstrass, owner of and therapist for Syndeo Counseling is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) with nine years of therapeutic experience. She holds a BA in Leadership and Management and an MA in Counseling from Lincoln Christian University. Sandi has prior field experience in community-based counseling, foster care and adoption preservation.

Change, like healing takes time. We only have so much time and energy in our lives. What we do with it is a gift. As a Christian therapist, my desire is to help my clients use their precious time and energy towards healing and enjoying their life as God intended. I believe in walking hand-in-hand with my clients as they are restored and embrace new change individually and in their relationships. I enjoy working with and supporting individuals, adolescents, teens, couples, and families in a relaxed and secure environment that facilitates personal and relational growth.

Connection matters; we weren't meant to go through life's hurts and challenges alone. Oftentimes we get this connection through friends and family, but sometimes we need more than that. Sometimes it feels as though we are stuck in the spot we are in without hope of things changing. I understand that it's difficult to take that step towards counseling. My heart is to create a space to feel heard, understood, and to gain hope as we walk through those stuck points together.

I specialize in working with clients with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sleep issues, stress, Autism, health problems, and Christian life coaching. Teenagers through senior adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, complex trauma/dissociation, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, suicidality, self-harm, substance abuse, and bipolar disorder are clients that would be a good fit for my expertise. I practice from a relational model and often use emotion-focused, person-centered interventions while also incorporating more concrete skills including CBT or DBT.

After 15 years in practice, I have seen so many people find freedom from the fears and symptoms that hold them back and it brings me great joy and honor to walk beside them as they heal.
