My name is Yvette and I serve as the Clinical Director and Psychotherapist at InTouch Mind Health. I offer a safe and personal space that is judgement free, where you can unpack the past, process fears and concerns, and face present challenges. My approach is interactive, supportive, and personal. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Solutions Focused and Narrative Therapy interventions in the clinical setting with adults, Narrative and Play Therapy when working with children, and Christian Counseling when working with individuals who prefer therapy that is grounded in Christian principles and bible based.

Hello, I am a licensed psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis in Children and Families from Loyola University of Chicago. As a young professional, mother of 3, and a wife in a blended family, I am well acquainted with the challenges faced by individuals and couples as they begin careers, endeavor to develop friendships, foster long-term relationships, and step into marriage and parenting. I aim to provide a warm and safe space where individuals and couples can feel supported as they explore options, process life's challenges, and find clarity, peace, harmony, and joy in the midst of life's struggles.

I have a passion for helping others. I have been successfully treating Borderline Personality Disorder as well as most anxiety, depressive, and psychotic disorders. All of these disorders are treatable. Treating BPD is my specialty, having 17 years experience reducing symptoms and improving the quality of life for my clients in both individual and group settings. I have taught the group using the BPD workbook for all of those years and have seen people make tremendous growth in understanding and controlling their emotions. Many eventually graduate from the program and need no further treatment.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. The clients I have worked with have struggled with eating disorders, self-injury, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. I work with my client on developing healthy coping skills, such as grounding and relaxation techniques, to help alleviate the stress brought on by triggering thoughts and situations. In addition, I work with my client on creating short term and long term goals to motivate and establish a strong sense of self.

A feeling of being in darkness, restlessness, or fear might be a sign of anxiety, depression, trauma, unresolved grief, or of a transition in your life. Those conditions may lead a person into being less functional, non productive, or struggling in making decisions. I believe that each of us possess an inner strength that is capable of bringing healing, restoration, and life. It sometimes may just be very difficult to recognize and to access this inner strength. We might long for relief, to raise our self esteem, a higher functionality, productivity, or just to be able to simply see the light at the end of tunnel.
