I like to know how my clients take their coffee, their idiosyncrasies, and which football team makes them yell at the screen on Sunday's. My approach is practical and honest. I have been working in the field for over 30 years in a variety of settings including inpatient, partial programs and outpatient private practice. I work with adolescents and adults in individual, marital, family and group counseling. My husband and I started our own group practice in 2004. I work primarily with individuals who are desiring freedom from trauma: past and present; personal and collective. I lead and facilitated trauma-focused therapy story groups, and consultation story groups for individuals with advanced training in narrative story engagement. I also do intensive trainings in Narrative Story work.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

For 39 years, I have been passionate about helping people find freedom from personal struggles of depression, anxiety and marriage/ family problems. I treat first with natural alternatives rather than medications. I also specialize in Attention Deficit Disorder and I am a parent of an adult child with ADHD. I personally know the challenges and victory in helping someone with ADHD live their life successfully. I am viewed as the Sherlock Holmes doctor since I work with the most difficult to diagnose cases and help to crack the case of what is causing a person to struggle.

My job, as I see it, is not to fix you, but to help you fix yourself. To do that, I help you find the tools you already have and remind you that - on some deep level - you already know how to use them. My approach is cognitive, because I believe the way we think about our lives helps create them.

As a therapist with over 30 years of experience, I work with church staff, corporate executives, teens and adults to improve leadership skills, personal relationships and business performance. Patients & family members currently dealing with the emotional effects of chronic or terminal illness are also a piece of my practice. I provide individual, marital and family counseling. I treat a variety of common emotional and relational difficulties including anxiety, depression and relationship conflict, as well as parent/child issues, and the emotional effects of medical conditions.

One of the reasons I enjoy being a therapist is that there is no such thing as an "ideal" client. People are all unique in their own ways and no two cases are ever the same. I accept the challenges of resistant or unsure clients, in fact it brings me the greatest satisfaction to help someone that doesn't believe that therapy can help them.

Kristin Camorlinga, LCPC, received her Masters in Counseling from Loyola University in 2012. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and their families and has been doing so in different capacities since 1995. She has counseled bilingually in many settings including three schools, a domestic abuse shelter, two non-for-profits and two community public health agencies. She is passionate about helping people overcome mental health difficulties so they can reach their greatest potential and live their best life.

I enjoy working with many different types of issues in a setting that promotes honesty, growth and trust. My specialties are Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders and using Cognitve-Behavioral techiques on various issues.

It takes courage to reach out for help. We are passionate about our clients and grateful to share in their journey. We meet clients in the valleys and help them walk through pain. We have a strong desire to help with emotional abuse recovery, restoring empowerment, equality, self-respect and self-love; helping clients learn how to set boundaries, to experience emotional safety and growth.
