Hello, my name is Jennifer Lee Jackson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 14 years of clinical experience working with clients living with depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Excoriation Disorder, addiction, unhelpful thinking styles, low self-esteem, codependency, poor boundary setting, PMDD, and trauma. I am an eclectic therapist who uses Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical, Eclectic, Psychodynamic, and Couples Therapy during treatment with my clients. I believe in creating an egalitarian relationship with you to foster a safe and empowering environment for long-term recovery and stability.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I have spent numerous years working with individuals, couples and families ranging from adolescence through adulthood, with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress management, PTSD, ADHD, adjustment to life changes and/or medical treatments, grief and loss issues; parenting concerns; couple issues; or problems coping with daily stress. I help people achieve healing and wellness in their lives by focusing on positivity and internal strengths. I believe the mind and the body connect and affect one another. This is why I believe therapy can help people who are feeling overwhelmed with big emotions, having difficulties with life transitions, struggling with past traumas, feeling anxieties over the future, repair or create healthy connections or relationships with others and obtain inner peace.

Let's start with honoring life... Due to my extensive background and years of professional experience, I am comfortable working with children, youth, adults, couples, and families. I started my training/experience with children and continued servicing all ages. I have worked in many venues of service: mental health, medical, educational, hospice, trauma, supervisory, administrative... providing services to people facing situations that are unknown or a challenge to them. Depression, anxiety (and all the features associated with these two diagnostics), as well as relational and other life issues, are areas that I service.

My experience has allowed me to work with people from all over the world with both chronic and minor mental health concerns. As a clinician I have worked with people who have depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, (PTSD)trauma and a history of family violence. My approach is primarily cognitive behavioral with a significant emphasis on the person's present. Those who would benefit are people who are looking at moving forward with their life with more deliberation and direction. Moving away from seeing themselves as the result of their circumstances but as the master of their being.

My ideal clients? They're a colorful bunch, representing diverse backgrounds and facing issues like past trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship twists, and the journey of self-discovery. They're on a mission for clarity, healing, and personal growth. I am an experienced psychotherapist and I work with clients from diverse backgrounds. I have extensive experience working with clients who are adult children of alcoholics and helping clients who have suffered a loss(es) and seek bereavement counseling. I also work with adults and youths who have both depression and anxiety, including panic attacks and phobias. I offer specific strategies to combat anxiety and panic attacks. My particular expertise has been working with parents and their children. Other areas of practice are sexual abuse and domestic violence.

I am a Latinx bilingual and bicultural psychotherapist. I have a master’s degree in social work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My expertise has centered on providing therapeutic care in inpatient settings and community mental health centers with a focus on crisis and trauma interventions. I am trained in mindfulness-based approaches, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, parent training and Motivational Interviewing. In therapy, I address patient's concerns which include depression, anxiety, domestic violence and complex trauma.

I am a Latina bilingual therapist who works with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and adults and provide individual and family therapy. I provide an open and safe environment where we can work towards improving your mental health, have it be reducing anxiety, depression, processing trauma or improving communication skills. My counseling style is very empathetic, mindful and client-centered, yet direct and straightforward. I believe in using the therapeutic relationship as an effective way to work though your experiences and start therapy where you are ready to start and at the pace you're ready to start.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

Many people feel that difficult or painful experiences have the power to define them, or that it may have damaged them permanently. I aim to help my clients recognize that difficult situations will not ‘destroy’ or ‘define’ them, and instead help them regain some control in deciding who they are and the path they want to take. I believe in utilizing therapy to help my clients recognize their own personal story and growth. I provide support and tools for my clients to use along the way, drawing from a wide toolbox of therapy approaches, including EMDR.

David Fletcher-Janzen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LCPC, LPCC) in Illinois and Ohio. After 30 years of working as a CEO in psychiatric and chemical dependency hospitals, David provides individual therapy to adults and seniors. He specializes in treating concerns related to life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. David earned his Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Education in Counseling at Texas State University.

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental, affirming space for all clients. I value the unique lived experiences and identities each of my clients bring to the therapy space and I want them to feel both seen and heard when they come to therapy. I have a passion to work with vulnerable and marginalized populations and absolutely love working with children.

Life can be difficult and frustrating but I am adamant that finding a safe and affirming space in therapy shouldn’t be. I prioritize the celebration of individuals’ identities, fostering hope, and nurturing meaning in their life through collaborative, strengths-based techniques.
