Seeking clients who are thoughtful, reflective, and strong willed. Above all else, authenticity means the most to me. My goal is to provide therapeutic services that lead to real change. I specialize in treating clients who have been feeling “stuck” and are looking to improve their mental health. Can you relate to the feeling of being stuck? I am an experienced psychotherapist and I work with clients from diverse backgrounds. I have extensive experience working with clients who are adult children of alcoholics and helping clients who have suffered a loss(es) and seek bereavement counseling. I also work with adults and youths who have both depression and anxiety, including panic attacks and phobias. I offer specific strategies to combat anxiety and panic attacks. My particular expertise has been working with parents and their children. Other areas of practice are sexual abuse and domestic violence.

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental, affirming space for all clients. I value the unique lived experiences and identities each of my clients bring to the therapy space and I want them to feel both seen and heard when they come to therapy. I have a passion to work with vulnerable and marginalized populations and absolutely love working with children.

In periods of overwhelming feelings and emotions, we might find ourselves consumed by the noise in our minds. Whether the noise is negative thoughts of the past, present, or future, it all can become so loud that we lose sight of what’s important to us. We lose sight of our resilience, values, present moment, others around us, or even ourselves. We might even find ourselves feeling and behaving inconsistently to who we are or want to be during these periods that we might call anxiety or depression. My counseling style is very empathetic, mindful and client-centered, yet direct and straightforward. I believe in using the therapeutic relationship as an effective way to work though your experiences and start therapy where you are ready to start and at the pace you're ready to start.

Many people feel that difficult or painful experiences have the power to define them, or that it may have damaged them permanently. I aim to help my clients recognize that difficult situations will not ‘destroy’ or ‘define’ them, and instead help them regain some control in deciding who they are and the path they want to take. I believe in utilizing therapy to help my clients recognize their own personal story and growth. I provide support and tools for my clients to use along the way, drawing from a wide toolbox of therapy approaches, including EMDR.
