I am experienced in supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, substance misuse, or a variety of life transitions: grief and loss, school or college stress, chronic illness, relationship issues, and cultural or identity-related explorations.
Connection is an essential part of change. As an art therapist, I view the therapeutic relationship as a core foundation we build together. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, inviting curiosity and creativity into each session. Drawing from a strengths-based and person-centered approach, our work will center on your values and the changes you want to make in your life. Together, we can envision new paths and possibilities to help you navigate difficult times, while ensuring that you feel supported and celebrated along the way.

TRE is helpful in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain and symptoms secondary to chronic illness.
I am an integrative mental health provider offering Trauma/Tension Releasing Exercises (TRE), Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF), and trauma informed somatic therapy. My approach embraces the multidimensionality of being in a body (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). You will learn all about your nervous system responses and how to re-pattern your brain, shifting from a lens of threat to safety. You will also learn how to heal with food and will gain potent tools that will relax your body on a cellular level. Additionally you will be connected to some of the most skilled body workers and physicians in Chicago.

I am gender-affirming, sex positive, and believe in body liberation/health at every size (HAES). I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, kinky, and neurodivergent folks. As a chronically ill person myself, I love helping folks to manage chronic illness/pain and self-advocate within healthcare systems. My areas of focus include helping people to build self-esteem and self-efficacy, to build tools to navigate neurodivergence in adulthood, and to identify core beliefs and needs so that they can live life more authentically.

Being human is weird and messy. Learning to live with our own thoughts and our internal narratives can be exhausting. I work well with clients addressing concerns related to anxiety, chronic illness, grief, burnout, relational challenges, adult family dynamics, work life balance, feelings of overwhelm, and depression. I have experience working with other health professionals on their own mental health journeys. I enjoy working with "overachievers" and "people pleasers" who are interested in living a life beyond their resume and reconnecting with themselves.I also enjoy supporting clients rebuilding life post brain injury and stroke.

I have experience with anxiety, grief and loss, depression, adjustment to chronic illness, familial dementia stressors, caregiver stress, and sibling relationships.
I believe that every individual is unique, and that starting therapy can be difficult no matter your age. A person’s mental health is very important, and while it can be burdensome to start the process of improving it, reaching out for support is an important, and sometimes the hardest, first step. I want to make the process of finding a therapist that works for you easy and painless. Even if I end up not being the right fit, I will help to find someone who I believe will work well with you and your needs.

I provide individual counseling with specializations including trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, pain management, gender identity, sexuality (from a sex-positive, kink-aware perspective), body image, and disability and chronic illness.
As Oscar Wilde once said, "One's real life is so often the life that one does not lead." But, for you, today can mark a decisive step down a path of authenticity, interpersonal connection, and greater ease in your body. As a licensed clinical social worker and practicing writer and artist, I am skilled in collaborating with you to first identify and then reimagine the themes, forms and narratives of your past and your everyday. My objective is to help you rediscover your potential and lead a more satisfying, conscious, and generative existence—all while feeling at home somatically.

"Be what you are becoming, without clinging to what you might have been, what you might yet be." Our relationship is an opportunity for you to take up space and fill concert halls.  It is easy for us to view our lives like a piece of sheet music and get caught up in the theory. As a result, we end up missing the beautiful symphony all around up. I want to create a space with you where you don't have to worry about being too much. Our space will be warm, protected, and healing. I want us to create a space where you get to live your life on your own terms.

I have received extensive training in the areas of care giving, chronic illness, infertility, trauma, couples/relationship concerns, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues, compulsive overeating/binge eating, and third party reproduction.
As a psychologist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and help you find ways to be your best self. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can use them to better understand and resolve the current challenges in your life. By working collaboratively, we will work to adjust behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

These traumas are often at the root of many problems a person can experience in the overwhelming modern world, like anxiety, depression, and chronic illness.
Life is full of transitions and adjustments; in each of these, you deserve a safe and supportive space to talk about it in a relaxed, guided manner. I believe in the importance of language- how you talk to and about yourself and others- and in the power of stories that make life. I want to help you recognize which stories you wrote in alignment with your values and which were imposed on you by society, culture, and the people close to you. In therapy, I utilize evidence-based techniques while also recognizing that your mind is a vast universe to be approached from a philosophical and spiritual place.

Specialties: Immigration / Assimilation, Women’s Issues, Couples Sexuality, Chronic Illness, Anxiety, Depression, Children & Adolescents (behavior issues, attention issues, divorce), Life Transitions.
My ideal in therapy is to be able to set a comfortable environment in which growth can be achieved. I truly believe that a person can overcome and achieve anything that they set their mind to. I like to set an environment in which working together with the client goals can be turned into reality. I do not believe that there is a problem that is too big or small that cannot be tackled with the help of a supportive and motivating environment. Originally I am from Lithuanian that leads me to having a special interest in immigration/assimilation concerns. I have experience working with children, adolescence, and adults.

I have advanced training in working with individuals struggling with chronic illness, cancer, infertility, pregnancy loss, third-party reproduction, postpartum depression and anxiety, and grief.
I believe it's important to have a place where you can feel safe and comfortable when in therapy. I try to provide that for my clients. There is usually a point in everyone's life where they need a little extra help and guidance to deal with depression, anxiety or stressful life events. The best thing you can do for yourself and your family is to get that help and work on improving your quality of life. You won't regret making yourself a priority even with all the other demands on your time.

As a seasoned NY and IL-based clinician, I support individuals navigating major life transitions, such as pregnancy and parenting, chronic illness or a new health diagnosis, moving to a new city or embarking on a new career path.
The way you see yourself impacts your perception of the world around you. When we feel good about ourselves, our view of the world is more positive. My clients enter therapy wrestling with questions of purpose, low self-esteem, and high-stress levels. Shortly after our work together, my clients can reframe negative self-talk and cultivate self-confidence. Grounded in clinical skill, humor, and empathy, I will be with you as you progress. Whether you are healing from mental or physical challenges, I focus on emotional support and teaching tangible skills to improve your daily life.
