My approach to therapy is integrative as I pull from both more directive approaches (CBT, DBT) and client-centered guidance and support to treat anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, relationship concerns and self esteem issues.
I believe that autonomy and intrinsic motivation are key elements in creating positive change. The stress of living in a complicated, fast-paced world can make it difficult to find these things within ourselves. Maybe you're feeling stuck, looking to make a change, or just need a supportive environment to help you cope. My goal is to provide a collaborative therapeutic relationship and a non-judgmental, respectful, welcoming space in which my clients can develop insight into their own strengths and values, as well as the challenges that may be inhibiting personal growth.

I have had extensive experience working with adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression and behavioral issues.
I believe in the importance of building a therapeutic relationship and comfortable environment and therefore believe in being authentic and realistic with clients. I find this to be especially important in working with adolescents, young adults, families, and those who hav experienced trauma. I enjoy getting to understand their prospective and being able to advocate for them as well as to teach them to advocate for themselves and learn the skills that they need to communicate more effectively with others. I also believe that working with families and parents creates more success for everyone and therefore facilitate more change.

I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups in a client-centered, strengths-based approach utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based therapy.
I firmly believe in our capacity to make the choices necessary in order to live our lives fully and authentically, meeting life on life's terms. It is an act of courage to seek help when life's terms seem different than our own. Together we create the space for you to strengthen existing skills and develop new ones to achieve purpose, meaning, and contentment in your life and relationships. I believe in collaboration, respect, and humor to promote insight and change. We will create a safe environment in which you can feel empowered to enact the changes you desire.

I utilize a variety of effective treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioral theory, relational theory, and family systems theory.
I believe that emotional growth is best achieved within a non judgmental, compassionate and safe therapeutic relationship. I recognize that each person is the expert on his or her life and we work collaboratively to identify areas clients would like to address. The client and I work together to examine thoughts, feelings and behaviors; we identify patterns, develop tools, and find ways to respond differently. Understanding and strengthening relationships is also a crucial part of my work with clients. Ultimately, I focus on clients' strengths and work to empower them to promote positive change, growth, and healing in their lives.

She uses an integrative approach, encompassing Existential Theory with Gestalt techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychoanalytic techniques.
To LIVE after Trauma and Grief was the smartest choice I've made Learning to LOVE as a Parent and Single Woman, feels freeing Having LIFE with Relational Purpose is a class all Its own After 35 years of life experience, 7 years of experience in field of mental health, 4 years as a Licensed Therapist, and continuing education as a 5th year doctoral student I have been able to create a program that eases the stigma of seeing a therapist. Through the recognition of new self-awareness, clients will work towards their goals through her directive and active guidance.

I have worked in various levels of care including inpatient, PHP/IOP, behavior focused programs, and the emergency room.
It is inevitable that life is challenging and often times, we feel stuck and need reminders that we are not alone. As a psychotherapist, I understand that each client has a unique story of their own and that each client deserves tailored and individualized care. We will start by establishing what goals you would like to achieve in therapy and will then create a treatment plan collaboratively. I tend to pull from your strengths and values, and will work with you to unpack unhelpful thinking patterns and maladaptive behaviors and will explore alternative coping skills that will be more sustainable for you in the long run.

I utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapies including the Person Centered approach to foster the trust building process and increase client autonomy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), liberation psychology, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Navigating life's set backs, challenges, and adversities can absolutely take a toll on our wellbeing and ability to function, which is why it is important to know that you do not have to work through these concerns alone. I believe in the power of healing through promoting self-awareness, autonomy and empowerment, and also in people's strength to move towards change. Though suffering is a part of life, something that all humans share, working to manifest helpful and sustainable coping mechanisms, and skills that will work to serve you long term makes a difference in the quality of life a person experiences.

A behavioral approach is well suited to clients with chronic medical conditions, such as pain, headaches, diabetes, heart failure, and cancer, as well as episodic problems, such as insomnia.
As a health psychologist, I work with clients who have physical and emotional conditions that are getting in the way of being able to live the lives they want. I help clients identify and follow through on changes they can make to improve their well-being. I use a behavioral approach supplemented with biofeedback and hypnosis. I also work with couples who are struggling to find ways to get closer together and feel like they are truly partners in their relationship. The key to my approach is to find effective ways to get what you want from your life.
