As a licensed clinical social worker with 25 years of experience in mental health, I have worked with a variety of populations in multiple settings, including outpatient, inpatient, residential, judicial, and educational. As a psychiatric social worker for a large medical system, I provided direct service to individuals struggling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship and parenting issues. My collaborative, problem-solving approach to working with clients helps them better understand, navigate, and overcome the challenges of life.

My name is Brie Davis I am an LCSW (Licensed in FL, IL & CT) with specialty training in perinatal mental health. I am a mom to children on earth and in the stars. I love supporting mothers adjusting to parenthood, those experiencing postpartum mood disorders and those with current or past history of any pregnancy or infant loss.

I am a compassionate trauma-informed therapist that primarily works with individuals struggling with trauma/PTSD, ADHD, neurodivergent issues, relationship issues, chronic pain, physical disability, partner violence, substance abuse, anxiety, stress, depression, cultural identity, cultural/intergenerational conflicts, family conflicts, and other issues. Hi! I'm Deb Porter, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I received my MA in Counseling from Northeastern IL University in 2009 after retiring from a 34 year career as a Special Education teacher for CPS. We all deal with day-to-day challenges, some heavier than others, and being able to talk to a third party can be very helpful. I enjoy meeting new clients and using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in gaining an understanding of themselves as well as others. Sometimes we need to get rid of that "stinkin' thinkin'" and I'll do my best to help!

Growing up, I did not know much about mental health and therapy until I was in my own crisis. I was greatly impacted by mental health stigma that has had such a big impact of my Latinx community, and my own experience. I understand stigma is something that many different communities may face, and I hope to help break down that stigma so people can openly receive the help they need. After reaching out for help myself, I was able to start living up to a better version of myself. Now I hope to provide similar hope to others.
