My name is Lisa Goodson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with five (5) years of experience working with diverse populations of people. My primary goal when working with anyone is providing an individualized empowering experience to support that individual through life’s journey. I'm a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist who helps individuals mainly impacted by ADHD and concussion/TBI. I offer individual therapy for ADHD (ages 18+) and neuropsychological assessments for ADHD, TBI, and other neurologic conditions (ages 14+). Therapeutically, I use cognitive behavioral therapy, assertiveness training, and motivational interviewing (MI) methods within the context of an empathic and cohesive therapeutic relationship. NOTE: Therapy openings are more limited than are assessment. I'm licensed in IL, NY, and can offer telehealth sessions to clients in Psypact-participating states.

Before joining a private group practice, I worked primarily in community mental health outpatient centers and schools. I have experience working with marginalized children, teens, and adults with various psychosocial concerns through various organizations. Additionally, I approach therapy from an integrative perspective, focusing primarily on cognitive-behavioral and client-centered therapy.
