I am a licensed social worker with extensive experience working with queer individuals, people of color, and the many intersections in between. While I am particularly drawn to supporting younger adults and adolescents, I welcome clients at all stages of life. In our work, I seek to explore how to center identities that society often overlooks, and how marginalization impacts the way we relate to the world and understand ourselves within it. I am passionate about addressing struggles like perfectionism, transitions, and helping you uncover what drives and motivates you each day.

I love my work and feel honored to be a part of your healing and growth. My style is interactive, empathic, and respectful. Together, we will clarify your goals, identify obstacles, and find ways to overcome them. The process often involves a psychodynamic approach in which we discuss the past as it impacts the present. Frequently cognitive-behavioral approaches are helpful to improve immediate coping abilities. Couples often require attention to communication styles as well. My approach is always based on a collaborative effort to define your needs, support your strengths, and help you create the life you want to live.

I recognize that, at times, people may feel hesitant to engage in therapy. Entering any process of change and growth can feel overwhelming whether facing life transitions, anxiety, depression, overall stress, and more. I want to work with my clients to help them reach a place in which they feel confident in acknowledging their emotions and thoughts openly and without judgment. I want to work collaboratively to develop their goals and work on change in a way that feels manageable and encouraging.

My clients are the go-getter girls who feel a strong sense of pressure to succeed. They appreciate having high standards, but also want to feel free from the mental load that can feel like a prison. I help clients re-wire their brains, so they can feel calm while maintaining the ambition. I work with them to ditch the hustle to feel "good enough" and find the sweet spot where productivity meets health and joy. We work on the healing, but also on the high-performance habits and your overall health. Together, we'll get you unstuck, build your confidence and cultivate overall wellness so you can step into your optimal.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
