I am licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) who has been providing counseling to individuals and families since 2000. My personal intention for working with you, and all of my clients, is to approach therapy from a holistic perspective. A holistic perspective looks at the mind, body, and spirit with the goal of bringing these aspects of self into harmony. My primary goal is to help you foster your own inner strength to create the life you want. Sometimes our feelings can overcome us to the point they feel intolerable. I help children, teens, and young adults navigate the overwhelm that can come with anxiety, depression, feelings of isolation, and non-belonging. I am trained in and passionate about working with trauma, grief, attachment, neurodevelopmental differences, and LGBTQ+ identities. My clients have described my clinical style as warm, open, and relaxed. In addition to my pediatric work, I truly enjoy working with young adult’s up to their late twenties.

Jeffrey Garrison, Jr. is a Psychologist in Illinois. Jeffrey conducts psychological, cognitive, and neuropsychological assessments to help with diagnostic clarification, gender affirming surgery second opinion evaluations, TBI, and cognitive decline. In his personal time, Jeffrey likes to run and go to the gym. He tries to be outside as much as he can. He loves to cook but is not the best baker. I am a identity- and lifestyle-affirming therapist who enjoys partnering with clients on a variety of issues including sex and relationships, anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, and day-to-day experiences. I'm Justin Kozak. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience, and I am open to working with anyone; and have a wide range of experience treating Substance Use, Behavioral Issues, Anger Management, Depression, Trauma, and PTSD. I use Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Multicultural and Solution Focused Brief Therapies during a treatment session with my clients. Dr. Watkins is a Clinical Psychologist who's profession experience includes psycho-diagnostic assessment and counseling of children, adolescents and adults in the areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, marital guidance, sexuality, juvenile delinquency and phase of life transitions. Dr. Watkins practices from a client-centered framework, focusing on genuineness and unconditional positive regard for clients, with the belief that all persons are capable of functioning at their full, yet personal, potential. Dr. Watkins has served as an Investigator on clinical trials in the areas of Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia.

I have worked with a wide array of individuals across many different intersections of identity and with many different presenting concerns/therapeutic goals. I enjoy working with every individual and find that I work best with folks who are hoping to take a more curious and compassionate approach to self-understanding and their mental health. As a Filipina American therapist, Joy strives to break down the mental health stigma by providing and normalizing therapy for everyone. Joy is also an avid exerciser and proponent of physical well-being and believes this is just as crucial to one’s mental well-being. With a Masters degree in Counseling with a Specialization in Sport and Health Psychology, Joy works with clients to create routines that include regular physical activity and balanced nutrition in order to live a holistically healthy life.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience working with adolescents and adults.I use a variety of techniques to help clients discover positive ways of coping and responding to the difficulties they face. I value the psychologist-client relationship and strive to establish a connection with each client based on empathy and understanding of each individual's needs. I assist clients in developing ways to cope with life stressors and establish/maintain personal relationships. In the therapeutic process, I focus on an individual's strengths and encourage clients to use strengths to enhance their lives and attain their goals.

I have current openings in my practice for teens (15+) throughout adulthood who are having difficulty with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and relational issues. My colleagues and I have recently expanded our group practice, North Shore Psychotherapy, to a Lakeview location.
