I am the owner of InnerBloom Therapy Practice. I work with adults, children, and teens. I also work with parents to help them learn how to support their child and facilitate change at home by implementing strategies worked on during sessions. I help clients who experience stress and anxiety, life transitions, loss, mood disorders, problems at school, behavior issues, and difficulty regulating their emotions and developing connections with others. My fifteen years of experience as a school social worker have provided me with an understanding of the daily stressors and mental health needs of children and teens.

Allison is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC pending) with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from North Park University. She works with individuals and couples to overcome life’s challenges. With a background in Linguistics, she believes in the power of communication and understanding of one’s internal motivations to navigate life’s challenges. She seeks to integrate one’s life experiences by identifying stressors and traumas to help clients find meaning in their day-to-day lives and relationships. She believes passionately in the healing that is available to individuals and loves to help them reach their potential.

My aim in therapy is to help people reach their full potential in life. I do this through developing a strong relationship with those I work with. Through this working relationship, it is my goal to assist individuals in breaking free of past conditioning through self-discovery and self-awareness. I help individuals, discover their strengths, make better choices, and transition from their internal critical conversation to an accepting and nurturing voice of confidence and love.

Child Therapy Chicago, North Shore and Naperville is a counseling & psychotherapy specialist practice in the Chicagoland area working exclusively with kids from toddlers through teens and parents. I specialize in supporting the queer, trans, poly, trauma/complex trauma survivors, and/or neurodivergent communities. I firmly believe that developing and nurturing community connections is vital for navigating the full scope of our shared human experience. Additionally, I am well versed in supporting individuals navigating their queer and trans family identity, relational attachment difficulties, anxiety, negative self-talk, grief, and the challenges of finding community.
