As a provider of telemental health as a Psychotherapist, forensic assessment and Substance Abuse Counseling and Addictions treatment professional, I am also US military veteran. For over two decades I have provided Online Therapy and in-person care, using an integrative approach that combines Psychodynamic, Behavior Therapy, Gestalt, Community Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems approaches, combined with Multicultural Psychotherapy, a Person-centered focus.

I have been a practicing therapist for over 25 years with extensive experience in treating individuals and couples in short and long term therapy. I have treated with great success patients suffering trauma, emotional and sexual abuse including domestic violence; adjustment, mood and anxiety disorders and problems in relationships with attention to environmental, cultural and psychic factors. My approach is eclectic designed to meet the desires and needs of my patients.

I see psychotherapy as a collaborative process. From this perspective, I have developed an individualized approach in which the relationship provides a safe place where feelings and behavior can be explored. Often, current struggles have developed over time so that connections can be made to past experiences. With this understanding a person can begin to make changes which lead to greater satisfaction and happiness. I bring a solid eclectic knowledge base to the process, drawing on individual dynamics, relationship dynamics, and an understanding of human development throughout the life cycle. I work with individuals, couples, and adolescents (including their families).

I have over 9 years of experience helping clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, low self-esteem, grief, and other major challenging life events. Since 2002, I have provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings with people of all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic statuses.
