I have worked as a mental health practitioner for over 10 years. I began my career working with adolescents with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs in an inpatient treatment setting. I continued working with a variety of populations including homeless and at-risk families with children with mental health disorders. I currently provide individual, family and couples therapy. I have worked with populations throughout the lifespan including children, teens, adults and clients facing end-of-life related issues and have taught courses on Anger Management, Parenting and Drug and Alcohol Education.

I have worked in the field of mental health for over 2 decades, both as a clinician and in various leadership roles. Elizabeth Holtz is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has been practicing since 2000. She graduated from Benedictine University with a degree in Counseling Psychology. Elizabeth Holtz believes in an eclectic treatment approach as one size does not fit all when it comes to counseling. I believe that clinicians should meet clients where they are. I try to find what the person is missing in terms of sense of self rather than work toward an idealized version based on societal norms. Its more about the client's goals than the therapist's . Her areas of expertise include Spectrum disorders, ADHD and bipolar disorder.
