I am a counselor who believes in self determination and choices and therefore I believe in assisting individuals, couples, adolescents, and families (of all ages, races, genders, religions) to strengthen their disposition and resolve. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) as a technique to help individuals with PTSD and anxiety. I am an Illinois Supreme Court approved Divorce Mediator which provides me the opportunity to assist couples who are divorcing. Divorcing couples deserve to have a choice in divorcing with dignity while also not spending their children's college fund.

Working with individuals during life struggles is my passion! Over the years, I have been focused on helping people manage their lives better by helping them learn to accept themselves and build confidence. My approach is more client-centered as I like for clients to tell me what they need and what they think the next steps should be to accomplish their goals. I believe that therapy is a part of life, and there is nothing wrong with needing help. I work with children 5 and up and adults. The rewarding part of my day is knowing that I have benefited someone’s life in a way. The first step starts with you!

Have you ever felt like you were battling an endless battle that you just can’t win? Or feel like you are the only one that has this many struggles in life and its left you feeling so alone? Life can throw you curve balls when you least expect it and knock you right off your feet. It doesn’t wait for you to say, “Hey ! I’m ready or for you to catch your breath after the last curve ball.” Sure there are moments were you may be resilient and then there are times you may struggle to get back up and keep going. This can leave you feeling emotionally drained, insecure, lost or feeling hopeless.

"Today is the day to reach out and tomorrow is the day to feel better." If you're anything like me, then you know that half the battle is reaching out to "[Fill In The Blank]" in order for you to start feeling better about whatever the situation might be. You might fill in the blank with the Dentist, a friend with whom you had a falling out, a family member you forgot to say happy birthday to, etc. I'm the same way in so many situations but once I've made that appointment, talked to the friend, made it to the gym, etc... I feel so much better! I hope that today's the day you say... "I'm reaching out to better my self... for me!"
