My idea of an ideal client is one who is brave enough to ask for help. We are not born with innate problem solving skills in all areas of life. Every one of us is unique and have different experiences and outlooks on life. When there is a lack of cohesion in ones life or struggles in relationships, emotional issues, we may need to reach out to a professional for guidance. Even clients who are less than cooperative or unwilling to engage in therapy can be helped with a good therapist. I can provide that guidance and help you be the best "you" you can be. We've only got one life to live. The goal is, to live it well!

Healing is a circular & cyclical journey with many paths, choices, & discoveries. We meet you where you are today, acknowledge that you are ever-changing, ever evolving. We know how hard it is to ask for help…to embrace, hold, and make space for change…we know how challenging it is to have a dissolution of self, or a version of yourself that no longer fits. Together, we uncover & compost outdated & stifling beliefs, unrealistic expectations or goals, let go of worries & fears, discover self-sabotage, burrow through behaviors & deeply hidden feelings & emotions that keep us stuck, fearful, unable to step into empowered selves.

Many people struggle with anxiety and depression as they cope with life's uncertainties. We are all redefining "normal." My training in CBT, EMDR, Strengths Centered, and Person Centered Therapy with men, women, children, elders, and caregivers is well rounded. People are dealing with trauma, abuse, employment issues, grief, mental illness, addiction, co-dependency, physical illness, parenting, divorce, retirement, and loss of identity. Everyone wants to know they have a "purpose." I specialize in helping clients with their journey. Most people want to feel safe, loved, understood, and appreciated. I can help with that.

Creating a safe, calm, inclusive, and non-judgmental therapeutic space is part of my mission. As an embodied listener, I am honored to hold others’ stories in confidence and help uncover their deeply held understanding and expertise of their lives from a strengths-based perspective. I am particularly awed at the incremental freedom that comes from engaging stories of harm, trauma, and abuse. The beauty freedom produces led me to seek certification in narrative-focused trauma therapy and internal family systems.

If you are dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, marital/relationship issues, parenting/familial issues, or loss, I will partner with you to work towards resolution. Other areas of interest include trauma or PTSD, parent-child relationships, adolescents with behavior and/or emotional issues, pre-marital assessment, anger, self-esteem, stage of life issues, loss, depression and anxiety.
It takes courage and curiosity to begin the therapy process and I admire those who are able to do so. I believe that the psychotherapy process is greatly influenced by the therapeutic relationship. I work to collaboratively create a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect, trust, and understanding.

I believe firmly that Mental Health is a vital part of our overall health as people throughout our entire lives. The desire to grow and adapt almost never stops no matter your age or situation in life. Therapy can be useful when doing this. Providing a neutral ear to listen as you speak about what has been going on and receiving a different perspective. can make a big difference in your life. I am proficient in many types of therapy and I always use a person centered strength based approach to assist people to find what they are looking for.
