With nearly a decade of experience as a therapist I can say that the most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing people become “unstuck” in their lives. At some point or another, we have all found ourselves doing, thinking, or feeling things that seem to do us more harm than good. I want to help you examine these things, and get to the “why” behind them—because that is where healing can begin. I graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana- Champaign, Summa Cum Laude, and went on to complete my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College (IL).

My clients consistently tell me what a profound positive impact our collaborative work in therapy has made on their lives, especially after they have felt "stuck" for a long time. Being able to "connect the dots," gain insights, and change behaviors can bring great relief and a sense of hope. I enjoy helping individuals, couples, or families cope with past, present, or chronic stressors and regain power and control over their lives and relationships. This is especially true for people who have experienced traumatic events and (as a result) may have symptoms of anxiety, panic, depression, and/or anger.

It is extremely important that my client's feel comfortable with me and my work, otherwise therapy becomes a task, not something rewarding or nurturing. Teaching clients how to validate each feeling/emotion, how to sit with feelings and not run away from them is what I do best! I'd love to ask you why is it you may tend to cycle in the same energies and what would happen if you stepped out of it? Would love to hear your response! The way we think affects how we feel and then affects how we behave. I believe that every tear drop has a voice, if your tears had a voice what would they be saying?

Life throws curve balls at us. A relationship disintegrates, a son or daughter goes astray, the career that seemed so promising, isn't. Life doesn't work out like we planned. But you don't have to stay stuck – in a dead marriage, a dead-end job, or constant defeat. There are better options than waiting, wishing, and hoping. Underneath whatever is wrong with you, something is actually very right. Your feelings make sense once you understand the events and people who shaped you. And with compassionate understanding your life can be transformed from the inside out.

Eclectic Therapists
Many practitioners take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic methods to create their own custom-made approach. Such therapists often work with their clients to create a treatment plan that encompasses different techniques to best address the client's particular problems and to appeal to their sensibility.
