My name is Dr. Ike Kerhulas. I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a collaborative approach to treatment. My focus of practice includes trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marriage counseling, family dynamics, adolescents, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. My approach to providing therapy is to look at my clients through a trauma lens. My therapy utilizes trauma-focused sessions, understanding attachment styles, and being active in sessions by offering feedback. I also utilize psychoeducation.
I mostly work with clients who have experienced significant trauma and are dealing with PTSD. In addition, I work effectively with clients who are experiencing significant depression and anxiety. I am comfortable treating most conditions as I have significant experience in providing therapy.
It feels safe working with me in therapy. This is established through building a therapeutic relationship. I am very collaborative and feel comfortable providing feedback to clients. I have wanted to be a therapist since high school. I completed my college and graduate school education while taking part in internships.
