I am a counselor with many years of overseas and cross-cultural experience, which has highlighted for me the strengths and challenges common to all people, no matter where we are from or now call home. Rocky transitions of all kinds, struggles with identity and unwanted behaviors, relationship and parenting issues, many types of loss and grief-are all areas I have experience in. Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have been a practicing counselor and supervisor for the past 10 years and university professor for the past 7 years. The population I work with includes individuals, couples, and families. Clients present with relationship difficulties, communication issues, stress, career and life concerns. It is common for my clients to be experiencing a need to find a new way of coping with problems in their life or constructs they are experiencing; while trying to develop meaning making of their current life circumstance.

As humans we were created with the miraculous ability to endure, heal and grow, even in the most adverse circumstances and conditions. I am committed to providing quality behavioral health care to individuals, couples or families wanting to make changes, and willing to utilize their unique resources to overcome their own challenges. Often times our various struggles cause us to lose focus and lack the ability to find our strengths, talents and purpose. I have an extensive background at Idaho Department of Health and Welfare where I worked for 18 years. I have experience treating people with mental illness including Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia. I've worked with child abuse and neglect, families with children with disabilities, people on felony probation, and people impacted by substance abuse and domestic violence.

I am a faith-based counselor and practice as such under-ID State Law. My training is a combination of Family Studies, Individual Spiritual Formation and Marriage and Family Development. Both my graduate training and current Doctoral training approach with the individual reflects my view of a biblical perspective on the emotional, spiritual and physical parts of our being.
