Hello - I'm Michele and I've been in practice for the last 16 years working with children and families first in teen crisis center, residential housing for severe and persistent mentally ill adults, as a school counselor in both elementary and middle school setting and then in community mental health. These experiences have given me understanding of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and social pressures. I understand that many of these issues impair a person's functioning at home, school, and with their friends. I've been told that I'm both playful, insightful, and yet straightforward in my approach to therapy.

I evaluate children, teens, & adults with questions of ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and related emotional dysregulation and problems in functioning. Families can experience major frustration in finding interventions that are individualized to people’s unique needs: going through years of therapy and not feeling any better; getting conflicting feedback from other clinicians; having several diagnoses that don’t seem to align with what you’re going through; treatments that don’t seem to get you to your goals. Having a clear diagnosis is key in establishing a treatment plan and supporting interventions that are a good fit.

I believe every human being has within them the ability to reach their potential. Sometimes we need help unraveling our strengths while we work through difficult aspects of our lives. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Idaho and Texas, with an associate level license in Utah. I work with individuals, couples, and families with the goal of helping you experience increased mental health and connection in your relationships. Stefanie Westover, LCSW, is an attachment therapist who focuses on relationships as the key to finding meaning and joy in living. Her goal is to partner with clients to find hope so they can heal and thrive. Stefanie has experience working with parents and their children in a variety of settings for over ten years, including training foster parents, working with children in a speech-language pathology research lab, at a child development center, and in play therapy.

I have lived in Idaho for over 15 years & have 6 children. I am both an adventurer & treasure hunter at heart. I love working to help people achieve their ideal self. I believe that the individual is the catalyst for change in their life, and my position as a counselor is to help them identify those resources that they have used in the past as well as employ new resources.
