Everyone's story is important and meaningful. I have learned the connection between therapist and client is essential and can be life altering to someone who may be, or may feel, alone. The need for connection is paramount in our human experience and sometimes it is lacking in our lives. I take this into account with every client, and I offer that connection to my clients. I strive to provide an affirmative, inclusive, and respectful environment to those in the LGBTQ+ community.

For the past several years, it has been my privilege to walk with people as they enter periods of life where they feel challenged, hurt, and often stuck. It is my goal to help you explore these wounds, navigate through the sticky places, and return to a higher level of functioning.

I have lived in Idaho for over 15 years & have 6 children. I am both an adventurer & treasure hunter at heart. I love working to help people achieve their ideal self. Many people have goals and hopes that they wish to accomplish, and often times these objectives are complicated by challenges they are currently facing or have faced in the past. I believe that the individual is the catalyst for change in their life, and my position as a counselor is to help them identify those resources that they have used in the past as well as employ new resources.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and work with adolescents and adults who have a variety of presenting problems, including anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. I am accepting new telehealth clients for OCD-related disorders and Tourette's/tic disorders, as well as phobias, social anxiety, and other significant anxiety symptoms. I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings since 2002. I have experience working with a wide spectrum of problems including those related to trauma (PTSD), depression, anxiety, marital issues, anger management, addictions, and parenting. For seven years I worked in a residential treatment program where clients were between the ages of 13 and 17, with presenting problems that ranged from Asperger's Disorder to ADHD to Substance Use Disorders. After leaving residential treatment I joined with LifeSTAR of St George and began working with individuals and couples plagued by pornography and sexual compulsion/addiction.

Chandler is currently accepting clients located anywhere in the state of Idaho. Chandler's professional focus lies in the comprehensive treatment of anxiety disorders, spanning the spectrum from generalized anxiety to specific phobias to the complexities of OCD and anything in between. To empower her clients in their healing journey, she uses the empirically-supported and remarkably effective therapeutic approach of EMDR, skillfully guiding them through the processing of trauma and the transformation of maladaptive thought patterns.

Carrie understands the difficulties that can come with significant life changes and recognizes the importance of having positive mental health support during these life transitions.

My ideal client struggles with OCD, BDD, or anxiety, impacting daily life. They seek relief, coping skills, and independence. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in treating Couples, Women’s Issues and Trauma. I have worked extensively with trauma survivors of all ages and from all walks of life. I have received advanced training in working with couples in the modality of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I have also received advanced training in Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International and am the Co Chair of the PSI Utah Board. This includes training in Exposure Response Prevention to treat OCD.

I value genuine connection and safety in the counseling relationship. In order to best meet the needs of my clients, I approach each session with authenticity, compassion, empathy, and understanding. Through a trauma-informed lens, clients are able to explore difficult experiences from childhood through adulthood. For the emotionally burdened, I have used the analogy of swimming across a lake with weights on, and as additional weights are added, the individual is told to keep their head above water. The weights may be symbolic of unresolved feelings of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief or loss, relationship struggles, gender identity issues, addictive behaviors. These issues and others bring people into counseling. The opportunity to realize the totality of one’s human potential and to finally become the best version of who they were meant to be is a fulfilling journey.

As a generalist, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and phases of life dealing with an array of life challenges. I have specific training and experience working with individuals (of all genders) with sex addiction and other problematic compulsive behaviors. As a sex addiction specialist I work extensively with people who have trauma histories and attachment injuries. I welcome clients who are gender and sexually diverse, and adult and adolescent clients.
