I love in-depth interpersonal work, such as helping clients gain clarity of behaviors that are holding them back from attaining their vision of success for their life. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Integral & Transpersonal Psychology, which focuses on enhancing the needs of the mind, body and soul by integrating Eastern and Western philosophies of mental and emotional health. I really enjoy working with people with diverse backgrounds and life stories. I have much experience working with those who struggle with PTSD, grief and loss, depression, anxiety-based disorders, spiritual distress or confusion, LGBTQ+ community, and more.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages, genders, orientations, and backgrounds as they navigate through the challenges of life. I believe that everyone's story is unique and that it needs to be told in a comfortable and safe place, free of judgement. Many of the clients I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, vulnerable, afraid of making changes, and/or wondering how they will make it through the unexpected changes they are faced with. Some have experienced trauma. I help clients understand why they are suffering from certain symptoms as well as help them identify maladaptive thinking and coping skills.

For over 30 years I have helped individuals make some of the most important decisions of their life. Dr. Fortunati specializes in working with children from age 3 to young adulthood who have experienced or are experiencing trauma, attachment disorders, complicated grief, ambiguous loss through parental (or a loved ones) incarceration, divorce, deployment, and/or parental (or a loved ones) addiction, and self-harm/suicidality. She has extensive experience working with traditional and nontraditional caregivers through parenting and co-parenting as well as working with and advocating for children in Special Education within a public school setting.

My clients tend to be goal-oriented, and are willing to invest time into their own lives or in their relationships in order to change them.
