I work with couples who want to improve their relationship, figure out where it's going, or end it with as much peace as possible, with families where there has been divorce and child behavior problems, and with individuals who have anxiety or depression. He is the author of Erotic Marriage which has won awards in book festival competitions in London, Paris, New England, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. It won the 2013 National Indie Excellence Award. In 2018 Rowman & Littlefield published his new updated and expanded book Erotic Love & Marriage. I work primarily with a CBT approach with adolescents, couples, and families. I typically work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing relational issues, and symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, relational and work stress, parenting, and other related issues.

Dr. Ami Owen received her undergraduate degree in Social Science and a minor in Psychology. She received her Master’s in General Family Therapy with an advanced emphasis on families and trauma. Dr. Owen also received a Doctorate in Counseling and is a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional. She is licensed in ID, WA, AZ, TX, FL, CA, UT and is a nationally approved supervisor through the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). She takes delight in mentoring therapists on the complexities of family systems and consults with providers across the country to improve systems approaches.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Idaho and Texas, with an associate level license in Utah.
