WELCOME! I feel so inspired meeting clients who are ready for change, or perhaps feeling hopeless and need support. Taking steps toward change can be both exciting and scary, and I love to help guide others to a soft landing. My clients often seek peace, motivation and hope and learn to reconnect with and trust their core selves.

I believe everyone possesses the inherent potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. My approach to supporting individuals on their mental health journey is rooted in collaboration and person-centered care. I strive to create a trusting and supportive environment where your unique experiences and aspirations are honored and valued. An ideal client would view therapy as a partnership between themselves and their therapist, actively engage in therapy sessions, contribute to discussions, demonstrate consistency in attending sessions, and have a willingness to make changes to achieve thier goals.

I work best with clients who are ready to begin the sometimes difficult work of exploring who they are, setting goals, and discovering how to make changes to improve their lives. For those who are not quite sure where to begin I provide support, education, and a safe space to delve into the possibilities of how they might create the life they want. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy. This is a non-directive approach rooted in empathy, unconditional positive regard, & congruent behavior. Together, we will foster authentic growth through the nonjudgmental, compassionate identification of imbalance in your life. As your counselor, I will not have answers for you. Rather, I will hold sacred space & assist you in identifying your presenting problems, your strengths, & a path towards healing.

Hi! We all go through periods in our lives where a little extra help and guidance is necessary. Whatever struggle may be presenting itself in your life, I believe you have the ability to make it through this challenge with increased insight, compassion and the tools to thrive. I believe treatment works best through a collaborative, supportive and non-judgmental approach where my role is to help guide and equip you with the necessary tools and coping skills. Ultimately, though, you are the expert in your healing process.

The journey to knowing yourself can seem daunting, but taking the first step is both courageous and worthwhile. I use a client centered approach with the understanding that for successful therapy the client needs to have active participation in developing treatment goals. I live in Boise, Idaho, where I provide in person and Telehealth sessions. I offer only Telehealth sessions in Ohio. I am certified in EMDR for treating trauma, depresson and OCD. I am also certified in TF-CBT.

I am a born and raised potato head – also see Idahoan – & the youngest of 5 boys & I have 6 boys! I attended Boise State University, where I played rugby & graduated with a B.A. in History in 1997. In 2012 I graduated with Honors from Northwest Nazarene University with my M.S. in Clinical Counseling. Prior to that I spent time in New Zealand (home of my Maternal Grandfather) & the Cook Islands which had a major impact on my life, how I think & how I perceive the world and people in it. These experiences have allowed me an opportunity to help my clients achieve their goals in our sessions.
