Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 20 years of clinical experience. I am currently a member of the Green River Guild in Hyde Park, VT. In my practice, I like to create a therapeutic setting in which clients can discover for themselves the answers and solutions they have been looking for. I believe that people have the adaptive information inside them to grow beyond their problems, they have the power to feel better, and that they can create the lives of their own choosing.
I am a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. EMDR has shown to be effective in helping people process traumatic life experiences and it can also be helpful in addressing a wide range of presenting concerns. I work with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and PTSD.
When someone has taken the big step of reaching out, they may feel stuck, confused, or trapped. They are looking for clarity, understanding, or a solution to an issue, event, or way of feeling. My goal is to help people gain insight and resolve past and present issues so they can apply what they have learned to future scenarios and enjoy life as they choose.
