Whether you are feeling anxious, helpless, stuck or depressed, you do not have to overcome the challenges of life alone. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them identify ways to improve their quality of life. I believe that humans are resilient and have the resources to face obstacles in life. I appreciate each individual's unique personality and background. Contact me to learn more about my services and/or set up an initial appointment.

I believe that we all do our best - every day - as life brings frustration, stress, and even suffering. We work so hard to get rid of our pain, yet many of our "feel better" strategies have hidden expiration dates. Inevitably distress returns, or worsens. And- as an ACT therapist (and practitioner) - I believe that your ideal life is possible. We just have to (compassionately) give up the notion that we must wait until we're free from pain to begin living that big, full life. We have to kindly show ourselves that our dreams are possible- starting right now.

Not accepting new clients as of August 13——-Welcome! Generally, I work with clients who experience uncertainty, worry, anxiety, self-doubt, difficulty relaxing, and giving themselves unrealistic standards to meet. They often struggle with procrastination, feeling “out of control” of their emotions, and perfectionism. Many of my clients find themselves engaging in self-sacrificing to caretake or please others. However, this can lead to burnout and their sense of worthiness being tied to what they can do for others. They often seek a sense of balance and the ability to embrace and accept themselves without fear of judgment or failure.

Areas of particular interest include: dual diagnosis, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma and PTSD, domestic violence, domestic abuse, relationship issues, self-esteem, codependency issues, and working with women's issues.
Working in a variety of social work and mental health settings over the past 20 years, has taught me to implement a straightforward, nonjudgmental, compassionate, and empathetic approach, when working with people. As an interactive therapist, I offer a safe and supportive environment, where I encourage people to utilize their voice, not only to build on their own strengths and resiliency, but to collaborate together to address their needs and goals during this process.

I approach counseling from a strengths-based lens, incorporating elements from acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and narrative therapy. I seek to empower clients by aiding them in identifying their strengths and values, learning new tools, and taking actions to create the life they envision. I aim to co-create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel supported. I hope clients gain self-compassion and hope as they carry these skills outside our sessions.
