The teams and their couples at RCC have healed the torment of infertility, miscarriage, depression, significant losses, deaths of friends and family, financial problems, extended family strife, and a spouse's disability with a caregiving spouse.
Instead of staring at a therapist staring back at you, you join up with a TEAM in a place where you belong, in a way where we all show up for practice together. Together we create your dream relationship. You work hard ... blood, sweat, and tears kind of hard sometimes. At the end of it you'll have the kind of love you may never have dreamed you could have. This isn't just therapy, it's co-therapy. A philosophy that empowers couples like you to discover the magic of "us." We're your team, and your needs come first. Sessions START at 85 mins. The RCC-System means you succeed, all outside the constraints and limitations of insurance.

Hello, I am a therapist in Des Moines working with with children, teenage girls, and women in my practice. I see many children for issues related to ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral issues. I enjoy working with teenage girls and helping to address ways to improve their self-esteem. My name is Amy Halls and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I believe that everyone experiences pain and distress in their life, and there are times when you need someone to walk beside you and help you navigate. I want each client to have a safe, non-judgmental and understanding environment to explore stressors, relationships, and life transitions. I use a very collaborative approach by listening to my clients, establishing their goals together, and then providing insight, wisdom, humor (where appropriate), techniques and skills to help them overcome and move through their difficulties.

Clients at my practice are often dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life transitions or end of life issues.
The relationship between therapist and client is central to a positive therapeutic experience, therefore, it is important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. My role as therapist is to help each client improve the quality of their lives as they learn to navigate difficult issues and situations or learn to manage a mental illness. In addition, each client and each issue presented require an individualized approach. To achieve appropriate treatment plans I use a variety of treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, psychoeducation and psychotherapy. I work mainly with women. I work with adult women in all stages of life.

I meet with clients regarding a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and disability.
I am excited to announce my practice is expanding. We now have three licensed therapists who are all fantastic caring people. It is important to accept a person exactly where they are, in a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore their issues, find and nurture hope, and together work toward growth and equanimity. As a counselor, my job is to hear, accept and understand my client as a whole person and provide strategies to achieve their goals. Growth, healing and change can be challenging and may take hard work on the part of the client and the counselor. I am honored to be a part of that process with my clients.

Play therapy is an approach to counseling that allows children to use toys and other play materials to express their thoughts and feelings. I am a registered play therapist with many hours of specialized training in play therapy techniques. I am also trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
