As a licensed clinical psychologist fluent in both English and Mandarin, I provide individual psychotherapy. In addition to my general therapy practice, where I treat people struggling with anxiety, depression, work and relationship issues, I also specialize in the treatment of trauma, personality disorders, grief, bereavement, gender issues, major life transitions, and cross-cultural adjustment. My treatment approach blends psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused therapy techniques. I use simple, effective methods to address immediate stressors as well as long-standing issues related to people's inner beliefs and interpersonal relationships that may be interfering with their personal and professional success.
I am originally from Shanghai, China and immigrated to the United States two decades ago. This encounter has allowed me to relate to people who also face their own challenges. It helps me provide them with culturally sensitive therapy.
