I believe it is an immense privilege to be welcomed into a person’s life through the means of counseling. I respect that each person is the expert of their life and experiences and therefore I approach the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process. My goal is to create a safe space, free of judgement, to come along side my clients-individuals, youth, young adults, couples and families- as they work towards their desired outcomes. I have special interest and experience in working with the adoption and foster care triad, family and couple counseling, and pre-marital counseling.
My approach to counseling is to start with a strengths-based family systems model, acknowledging the many pieces of the puzzle that influence our daily lives. I also lean heavily on my training in attachment theory to understand the deeper, core needs of my clients in hopes that our work together will result in a sense of safety, security, and resiliency.
You are welcome to reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
