Hi! I'm Miriam. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of Hawaii, as well as a Certified Anger Management Specialist II, through the National Anger Management Association, a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a supervisor for MSW's wanting to obtain licensure. I have been practicing social work for fifteen years. I work with adults on developing skills to reduce stress, depression and anger, while focusing on relationships and life transitions.

I have lived and worked in Hawaii for over 30 years, first working on Kauai, and for the past 25 years on Oahu. I am the first clinically licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State. I specialize in relationship counseling, but have significant experience and expertise in helping those with depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, and parent-adolescent issues. I see individuals, couples, and families in treatment. I am a teacher and supervisor of those studying to become marriage and family therapists. I teach Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Hawaii.

We are a group of experienced Trauma/Addiction therapists and Yoga/Sound/Movement therapists who provide healing groups, retreats and staff trainings, both in person and online. We use somatic healing strategies for preventing "compassion fatigue", burnout, and for healing from trauma/PTSD/addictions. We combine somatic interventions-e.g. (Peace Movement sessions- Sound healing groups, Trauma-informed Yoga practices, and EMDR).
