Alexis is someone who believes in your ability to restore balance and happiness to your own life. Alexis is aware of the many stressors that arise while deciding which direction to steer your life. She helps clients navigate through these difficulties to regain a sense of stability and peace. Alexis has performed a majority of her clinical work on Oahu providing counseling services to clients from all walks of life. I have provided therapy for individuals and families since 1996. I began my work with the Sex Abuse Treatment Center Hawaii and started private practice in 2008. My clinical practice includes Depression, Anxiety, Sexual abuse, Substance abuse and Recovery and trauma. I am a certified EMDR practitioner with EMDRIA and currently work through EMDRconsulting and EMDRHawaii conducting trainings for the treatment of trauma. I believe that every individual has the potential for wholeness and I utilize a cultural approach familiar to those with Hawaiian / Kanaka Maoli back ground. My approaches to therapy are through supportive, client oriented therapy, eye movement desensitization, play therapy, sand-play therapy, hypnosis, guided breathing, and meditation.
