My name is Curtis, and I am a therapist under the supervision of January Hartze. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance. My background in business continued for many years before making the decision to switch into mental health and pursue a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at Northern Arizona University. This change towards counseling came as the result of my authentic passion and devotion for quality mental healthcare. I am thrilled to be on this path and look forward to sharing this journey with you.
The most important part of counseling stems from a strong therapeutic alliance in which you feel safe and supported. From there, we may draw upon a diverse toolkit of therapeutic modalities. Our counseling together may utilize experiential techniques, parts work integration, mindfulness practices, and components of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
I’m also certified in Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1. I am currently scheduling new clients for individual and couples counseling. My view of counseling is seen through a holistic lens of all components that make up our lives, which incorporates mental, physical, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing.
