I specialize in working with LGBTQIA2S+, neuroqueer, and neurodiverse clients. Much of my work has involved supporting clients while they navigate life transitions and work towards redefining their relationship with experiences such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Clients can expect a holistic approach to their care that includes elements of mindfulness, somatic awareness, and creative process. If you are interested in discovering or deepening your sense of embodiment, I can help facilitate that journey. I focus on uncovering my client's innate brilliance so that they can recognize the wisdom and compassion within themselves.
Nameshape Counseling
I integrate various therapeutic modalities that help bring clients into the present moment to process, rewrite, and transform whatever they are bringing to sessions. This includes art and writing therapies, parts work, and mindfulness. I also bring expertise from my work as a yoga instructor who has completed their 1000-hour yoga teacher training.
I believe that many mental health concerns are the result of the nervous system developing behaviors to cope with a wide range of individual and collective challenges. Often, these behaviors are incredibly wise and just need awareness, compassion, and care to transform from maladies to strengths. I am honored to act as a guide for clients in that process.
