I'm a thoughtful and nonjudgmental listener that views therapy as a dynamic partnership—founded on mutual openness, care, and respect. I strive to be person-centered, trauma-informed, and relational, while paying attention to the impact power dynamics, social expectations and structures have on people and the counseling process.
I work from an integrative, (humanistic, strengths based) approach drawing on elements from a variety of therapeutic practices—family systems, MI, ACT, TF-CBT, narrative, and collaborative—tailored to meet your unique needs. My training in social work, art therapy and art allows me to bring a varied perspective and skill set to my practice.
I have many years of diverse agency-based experience supporting individuals in navigating a range of life challenges. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and my Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
