I am licensed in California with 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and parenting issues. I also have experience working with clients coping with life changes. I worked with children and their families for nine years, but I prefer to utilize play therapy, so the platform is not conducive to that. I have also worked with adolescents and adults and feel competent in treating them. Utilizing EMDR has been very effective with trauma, anxiety, and depression.
I have had the privilege of teaching MSW students at USC Since 2012. My focus has always been to teach evidence-based therapies, meaning one or more scientifically evaluated and tested forms of treatment. These therapies demonstrate consistent improvement for a majority of patients.
While my focus in the past has been cognitive behavior therapy, problem-solving therapy, and psychodynamic work, I am currently getting certified as an EMDR therapist from the EMDR Institute. Since April 2023, I have been utilizing EMDR with clients and found it powerful and effective.
