My name is Heather Torres and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker. I have my Bachelor's in Psychology from California State University and obtained my Master's in Social Work at USC in 2018. My experience ranges from adolescents to adults, working within corrections, psychiatric inpatient units, outpatient therapy services, residential facilities, drug courts, and private practice. My focus is to provide support, in order to improve your quality of life.
Setting goals is an important aspect of therapy, which we will develop together. Being able to set realistic expectations and goals will allow us to view your progress within sessions. As your therapist, I want to work collaboratively with you, which can lead to goal adjustment and development.
My communication style is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for my clients. I would like to consider myself as your professional best friend, that you can confide in and be your authentic self in sessions.
