People tend to seek therapy for two reasons: to resolve interpersonal conflicts and/or internal conflicts. These conflicts may cause you to feel guilt stricken, frozen in time, panicked, anxious, depressed, nervous, obsessive or withdrawn. Most of the time, these feelings stem from cognitions (thoughts) that lead us down an emotional spiral where we feel out of control and lost. If you want to gain a better understanding of yourself, your trauma history, and how early imprinting may connect to interpersonal or internal conflict, you may find therapy to be a life-giving, healing and liberating experience.
As a licensed therapist and certified clinical trauma specialist, I have served in a variety of capacities from working with youth in crisis, teens impacted by abuse and trauma, family conflict, runaway homeless youth, substance misuse, transitional aged young adults, adults of all ages, to older adults and their families in hospice care.
I wish for you to feel comfortable sharing in your own timing and pacing so that we may co-create a trust-based environment built on honesty, openness, curiosity, and acceptance. Vulnerability can feel incredibly scary- It is my hope to foster a safe space for you to explore yourself, unpack yourself, know yourself, and grow into your fully expressed self.
